Limiting Collection, and Use of Personal Information
The Marketing Department Inc. collects personal information strictly for business purposes, with the consent of the client, and will be collected only by fair and lawful means. The purposes for which this information is collected include: payment of services provided, delivery of product, or contact information for business purposes. We guarantee that the information provided to us will be used only for the purposes discussed between ourselves and our clients, except with the consent of the client, or as required by law.
Personal information that is gathered by The Marketing Department Inc. is done so only with the consent of our client. This consent may be implied, formally given in person, or given electronically (phone, fax, email).
In order to ensure accuracy of information, you may receive an email or telephone call from The Marketing Department Inc., simply to verify that all the information in our possession is current and accurate. This is done to ensure smooth business transactions between ourselves and our clients.
Upon request, any individual may receive a complete copy of all personal information in the possession of The Marketing Department Inc. that is specifically related to that person.
Safeguarding your information
It is our guarantee to protect any personal information in our possession with great care. Hard copy documentation will be in a locked and secure facility. Computerized information will be safeguarded with password and encryption software at all locations where business is conducted. All sensitive personal information is safeguarded with industry standard security systems.
Retention and destruction of client information
Any personal or client information provided to us regarding any company activity, including company mandate, or business partners, will be kept confidential, and kept only as long as it is necessary for efficient conduct of our business or for government requirements (CRA).
Personal information used for business purposes will be kept for a period of 7 years, in accordance with the law. After this time period, or after it is no longer required for business purposes, all documentation with personal information will be destroyed in a professional manner to ensure confidentiality. If, for business purposes, personal information of a previous client is needed longer than 7 years, a reason for doing so will be provided to the client from which it was obtained. If consent is not provided by the client, that information will not be kept in the possession of The Marketing Department Inc. any longer, and it will be professionally destroyed.
